[Photos] Finishing Work Boosts Metro Towards Inaugural Run !

Finishing Work has been commenced in all stations from Karunamayee to Phoolbagan.
Kolkatans have to wait exactly 13 months from now to enjoy their 1st Ride from Salt Lake to Sealdah . Well , Metro may commence network this year (next to impossible for Kolkata) , as Kolkata is yet to have the U-17 FIFA World Cup Finals in Yuva Bharati/Salt Lake Stadium .

 Central Park depot is yet to be completed within another 2 months . Tracks are almost laid everywhere inside it . The Viaduct at Duttabad will also be completed in a month or two . Tracks are laid from Sector 5 to Subhas Sarovar Ramp.

Following is the probable design of Esplanade Station unveiled by 

Anadabazar Patrika . It claims that Express Buses to rest of the state will be departing from a basement parking which will be constructed on the Esplanade Station . Following is the translated version of the design :-

There is still a confusion regarding the Tunneling of Sealdah-Esplanade section . An online newspaper claimed that Tunnels will be bored from Esplanade to Sealdah , which is totally meaningless . Click Here to get information about the confusion .

The above photos of Phoolbagan tunnels are quite old . By now , track laying must have been commenced .
