Finally ! After suffering for 5 years , the 365 metres Duttabad Stretch of the Upcoming 16 Km East West Metro or Kolkata Metro Line 2 is nearing completion !
Duttabad is a slum area beside E.M. Bypass . The East-West corridor of Kolkata Metro will be passing through this area . Just after construction started , this 365 m section faced a huge encroachment problem , which stalled the project for 5 Years . After repeated Political Interventions in this Engineering Marvel , the stretch finally got encroacher-free .

All piers are completely erected . This stretch will be having Galvanized Steel precast Girders , which requires lesser installation time than Concrete Girders .
